The Navy Club Lacrosse team was formed in 1994 and marked Navy's first year in the National Club Lacrosse League (NCLL). The 1994 team was coached by former Naval Academy player and graduate, Tony Iuculano, and led by captains Kelly Shakita and John Peterson. The team lost in the National Championship to Loyola by one point. In 1995 Coach Iuculano and Team Captain Paul Zambelli lead the team to an undefeated season winning the NCLL Championship over the University of West Virginia by a score of 20-7. In the Fall of

 

1995 Coach Lawrence Goldstein became the Head Coach of the team. The 1996 Club Lacrosse team once again won the national title, defeating Richmond. In 1998, Major Lou Cimaglia joined the team as the Assistant Coach through the 2012 season. In 2011, Colin Smith joined the team as an Assistant Coach. The Club Team led by team Captain Will Comiskey took home another National Championship. In 2012, the team was led by Team Captain Taylor Pierce and won the National Championship when they defeated Delaware by 4 Goals. The 2014-15 team, led by Club President Alex Clements brought back the NCLL National Championship to Annapolis for the 2014-15 season when they defeated Penn State.

 

The Navy Club Lacrosse team is the winningest team on the Yard, and has never had a losing season. The team is considered by the United States Naval Academy to be a Club "B" sport and is supported by the Naval Academy Athletic Association.
